Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Mix well until the cornstarch is fully dissolved. This will be your flavorful stir-fry sauce.

  2. Marinate the sliced beef in half of the prepared sauce for about 15-20 minutes. This will infuse the beef with the rich flavors of the sauce.

  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or a large skillet over high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated beef slices and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, or until the beef is browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove the beef from the wok and set it aside.

  4. In the same wok, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Toss in the minced garlic and grated ginger, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  5. Add the sliced red and yellow bell peppers, broccoli florets, and julienned carrot to the wok. Stir-fry the vegetables for 3-4 minutes, or until they are slightly tender yet still crisp.

  6. Return the cooked beef to the wok with the vegetables. Pour in the remaining sauce and give everything a good toss to coat the ingredients evenly. Allow the sauce to thicken and coat the beef and vegetables for another 2 minutes.

  7. Sprinkle in the sliced green onions and give the stir-fry a final toss.

  8. Serve the beef stir-fry over cooked rice or noodles. If desired, garnish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds for added crunch and visual appeal.
