Quick and Flavourful Beef Stir-Fry
Ingredients
Instructions
-
In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Mix well until the cornstarch is fully dissolved. This will be your flavorful stir-fry sauce.
-
Marinate the sliced beef in half of the prepared sauce for about 15-20 minutes. This will infuse the beef with the rich flavors of the sauce.
-
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or a large skillet over high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated beef slices and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, or until the beef is browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove the beef from the wok and set it aside.
-
In the same wok, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Toss in the minced garlic and grated ginger, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
-
Add the sliced red and yellow bell peppers, broccoli florets, and julienned carrot to the wok. Stir-fry the vegetables for 3-4 minutes, or until they are slightly tender yet still crisp.
-
Return the cooked beef to the wok with the vegetables. Pour in the remaining sauce and give everything a good toss to coat the ingredients evenly. Allow the sauce to thicken and coat the beef and vegetables for another 2 minutes.
-
Sprinkle in the sliced green onions and give the stir-fry a final toss.
-
Serve the beef stir-fry over cooked rice or noodles. If desired, garnish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds for added crunch and visual appeal.
